Pressure on Man Utd to perform says Rodgers ahead of Swansea match

The pressure is on Manchester United to take three points from their meeting with Swansea this weekend, according to the Swans manager Brendan Rodgers.

The Welsh club currently lie 10th in the Premier League and remain unbeaten at home after five games and Rodgers admitted that his side are the underdogs in the match, but says the pressure is on the reigning champions.

“If you invest millions of pounds into a team then these are games they should win,” he told the BBC. “When you are at a big club you are judged on the big games, because these are the games you should win. They won’t have any fear of coming here, that’s why they are at that level.

“It’s a fantastic game for us. In the big games we are the underdog but we arrive in the game with confidence and belief that, if we play to our maximum, we can get a result.”
