Redknapp missed Spurs’ last game against Fulham, having been advised by doctors to stay at home and rest after heart surgery.
He had been told to take four or five weeks off in order to recuperate, but the 64-year-old is keen to be back managing his side as soon as possible.
Since the surgery, Redknapp has left training and match preparation to his two assistants, Joe Jordan and Kevin Bond.
This is his fourth season in charge at White Hart Lane, although he is a strong favourite to succeed Fabio Capello as the next England manager after Euro 2012.
