Chelsea captain John Terry will be in England’s squad for games against Spain and Sweden, with Fabio Capello selecting the 30 year old despite being at the centre of racism allegations following a spat with Anton Ferdinand in a recent defeat at Queens Park Rangers.
According to the BBC Capello and Terry met on Friday to discuss his place in the squad, whilst the Italian also spoke to FA Officials regarding whether to include 71 times capped centre half. “He will be in the final squad. Everyone spoke about John Terry and we decided on this.” Capello said. “We need to wait for what will happen about the FA investigation and the police investigation but I can tell you he is innocent until proven guilty. This is a really important thing, for me and the FA. For this reason I select him.”
