Tevez set for mammoth Man City fine for Argentina trip

Man City will fine Carlos Tevez £600k for going AWOL and may even sack him if he does not make a swift return, The Sun report.

The striker should have trained with the rest of the squad this week but instead flew out to Argentina for a break and on Wednesday night Tevez’ representatives said they did not know when he would return.

In a further twist, the club could sack him but hold on to his registration so any club who decided to sign him would still have to pay City their own valuation – something in the region of £30m.

Tevez’ camp claim the striker had attempted to get permission from Roberto Mancini to travel back to his homeland but his plea was ignored.
