Torres finds Liverpool more comfortable than London

Ex- Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has told Metro the problems he faced following his £50m move from Anfield to Chelsea, which resulted in a bad run of form and a goal drought as he struggled to make an impact.

Torres found it easier to settle in Liverpool rather than London because of its size and the fact the Spaniard believes it to be more comfortable: “Chelsea is in London, a huge city. I come from Madrid, also a great European capital, but this is much more of everything, for good and for bad. It’s been difficult for me to adapt here compared to when I arrived in Liverpool, a more comfortable place, smaller, where I was surrounded by Spanish team-mates.”

Torres went onto the briefly explain why he left The Red’s, claiming that ‘Liverpool was going down a strange path’ when he received the transfer offer from Chelsea.
