Tottenham could get Adebayor in cut-price deal

Manchester City are willing to sell Emmanuel Adebayor to Tottenham for a discounted price, according to The Sun.

The Togolese striker is currently on loan at Spurs, and it is believed that manager Harry Redknapp is interested in making the deal permanent.

Adebayor is currently earning £170,000 a week, and City would be happy to offload him at a cheaper price if it would mean shedding his wages off the books in order to bring in other targets, such as Napoli’s Edinson Cavani.

It is thought that Adebayor would be willing to take a pay cut in order to move back to London permanently, although Juventus and Paris St Germain are also interested.
