Spurs could make a move for Freiburg striker Papiss Cisse after he publicly stated his desire to play in the Premier League after the conclusion of this season.
The Senegalese forward scored 22 goals for Freiburg last season in the Bundesliga, and has already weighed in with another eight this time around, despite the club sitting in a lowly 17th place. However, he told Goal.com,
Cisse recently signed a new contract until 2014, but it is thought to include a release clause of around £13million. Arsenal, Sunderland, Newcastle and Fulham have also been linked with the 26-year-old, but any possibility of a January transfer could be scuppered by his involvement in the African Cup of Nations for most of the month.
