Tottenham are preparing a £500,000 raid on League One strugglers Wycombe Wanderers for 15-year-old striker Jordan Ibe, according to the Daily Mail.
Ibe turns 16 in December, and has already caught the eye after his goal against Sheffield Wednesday last month made him the youngest ever goalscorer in Football League history. Since then, Manchester United, Liverpool and Fulham have also sent scouts to monitor Ibe’s progress, but Spurs are planning to jump to the head of the queue with a pre-transfer window bid.
Wycombe captain Gareth Ainsworth recently urged Ibe to shun a big money move, remain at the club and continue his development – however, the Wycombe’s precarious 23rd position in League One could force them to sell to buy in a bid to beat the drop.
