Spurs have reignited their interest in Athletico Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente, according to talkSPORT.
Harry Redknapp held preliminary talks with the Spanish club over the summer, but a move failed to materialise. However, with a permanent move for on loan Emmanuel Adebayor unlikely due to the Togo striker’s wage demands, rumoured to be around £170,000, and Roman Pavlyuchenko dissatisfied with his playing time at Spurs, Llorente is once again under consideration.
The 26-year-old Spain international has scored six goals in eleven games for Bilbao so far this season. With just a year and a half remaining on his contract, Redknapp is aware that the club may want to cash in on Llorente before his contract expires, and is considering a bid at the end of this season.
