Villas-Boas wants pressure off Torres

Andre Villas-Boas has reiterated the importance of the whole team and not just focusing on Fernando Torres, chelseafc.com reports.

Torres faces Liverpool for the second time since his move to Chelsea for £50m in January and he is the main source of conversation for the weekend’s fixture. Villas-Boas has been quick to call on the performance of the team against Liverpool and not just spotlight the return of the Spain international.

Villas-Boas said: ‘Torres is not just about goals; he’s there to create and to help his team and I’m happy with him. It’s not a question of numbers, but how you make your team perform around you. We create as many chances when we win as when we lose, but it doesn’t mean the same players are always involved. The team is creating goalscoring opportunities, so at the moment, I’m happy with that performance’, the Chelsea boss added.
