Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has ruled out a loan move for New York Red Bulls forward Thierry Henry, The
Henry is an Arsenal legend after scoring 174 goals in 254 appearances and is back training with the Gunners to keep up his fitness whilst the Major League Soccer season is finished. The 34 year old could sign a short term loan deal, like David Beckham did with AC Milan, but Wenger’s squad is too full to bring in the Frenchman.
Wenger said: ‘At the moment we have a big squad and anyway, that problem cannot be examined before the end of December. Thierry’s future is in the United States. He is going back in February. Until then we will just help him to practice and keep fit’.
Henry is often considered as Arsenal’s greatest ever striker and was the star man during the 2003/2004 season, when the Gunners went through the whole league campaign unbeaten.
