Wenger wants Gunners to forget Chelsea win and focus on Champions League

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has urged his side to forget the momentous derby win against Chelsea on Saturday and focus on qualification for the knockout stages of the Champions League with a win over Marseille, the Daily Mail reports.

The Gunners are hitting a fantastic patch of form and have won eight games in their last nine matches. Wenger’s side have shown even better form in Group F of the Champions League and a win against Marseille at the Emirates Stadium will all but secure qualification.

However, despite the win against Chelsea, Wenger insists that his side concentrate on getting the job done in Europe and continue their current run.

We have now to forget about Chelsea, carry on and prove that we can keep doing the job. We want just to qualify. Our job is to forget about the last game, take the positives out of it and focus on the next one just as we had to do when we lost 8-2 to Manchester United, Wenger said.
