In one of the most important games of the weekend, Premier League strugglers Wigan and Blackburn face off at the DW Stadium.
Wigan manager Roberto Martinez has vowed not to change his footballing philosophy, despite his side currently riding an eight game losing streak. The Spaniard is always backed by his chairman Dave Whelan, but the Latics fans are concerned with the way results are going and last week’s loss to Wolves would not have eased fears.
Blackburn boss Steve Kean is facing an even tougher time at Ewood Park. His club are playing better, but not getting the results and some of the fans are baying for Kean’s blood. They were unlucky to lose 1-0 to Chelsea last time out and must feel that they can get a result against Wigan. Defender Chris Samba should be ready after injury for Rovers.
Both sides are desperate for a win, which will mean a physical Lancashire battle. A draw seems to be on the cards with both sides desperate not to lose.
