Yeovil bring in Chelsea youngster as they look to rescue ailing league form

League One bottom side Yeovil Town have completed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Conor Clifford on a one-month loan deal.

The 20-year-old has yet to break into the first team during his two years at Stamford Bridge and his move to Huish Park will represent his third spell away from the club after spending time with Plymouth and Notts County in League One last season.

The Irish youngster has found more luck on the international front with caps at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level. He was also called up to the full squad at the start of the season but was an unused substitute in the goalless draw with Croatia in Dublin.

Clifford goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s trip to Chesterfield which potentially has the makings of an early season six-pointer.
