The 20 year old has scored 13 goals in 47 matches for the Swiss side and has been targeted by Sunderland boss Steve Bruce for a January signing. Liverpool are looking to snatch Mehmedi away from Sunderland, just like the Black Cats took striker Connor Wickham off the toes of the Reds back in the summer.

Hecking said: ‘Admir is definitely very young and a very interesting striker. He will certainly not come cheap at any time’.
