Arsenal could lose out on Yann M’Vila to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the January transfer window, The
The Rennes midfielder is considered one of the brightest defensive anchormen in Europe and has attracted attention from a whole host of top clubs. Arsenal were leading the chase for M’Vila and had believed they had best chance of signing him. However, Jose Mourinho has now declared his intentions to sign the Frenchman and the proposition of football with the European colossals attracts M’Vila.
M’Vila has been tipped to star at Euro 2012 and Arsenal failed with a £20m bid in the summer. The 21 year old is eager to move away from Rennes after the summer and if he performs well in Poland/Ukraine, M’Vila’s price may just sky-rocket beyond Arsene Wenger’s valuation. Madrid have unlimited riches and will be prepared to pay whatever it takes for the 21 year old Frenchman.
Rennes have M’Vila under contract until 2015 and are holding out for £30m. Arsenal are eager to sign a defensive midfelder to support Alex Song and see M’Vila as their perfect target. Mourinho has moved into the front seat for the French midfielder and Wenger may have to switch target, possibly to Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi.
