Kenny Dalglish has confirmed his interest in promising Cliftonville striker Rory Donnelly, Click
Donnelly has impressed for the Northern Ireland side and the 19 year old has scored 17 goals so far this season. Liverpool have declared their interest in the forward along with Premier League rivals Everton and Swansea. The South Wales side have had a £100,000 bid accepted for the Northern Irish forward, but Liverpool are said to be the favourites for the signing.
Dalglish has publicly declared his interest in the forward, reiterating Cliftonville chairman Gerard Lawlor’s words about the Liverpool boss ringing him to enquire. The Reds are keen to bring the best of Britain to Anfield and Dalglish is interested in Donnelly, but that is as far as it has gone. Liverpool have also been rumoured with signing Dundee United midfielder Scott Allan, but the Reds boss had nothing to say on that matter.
‘I spoke to the chairman. It was nice of him to tell everybody! There’s a bit of interest in the boy from a few places, so we’ve registered our interest. That’s as far as it goes at the moment’, Dalglish said.
