Dalglish hopeful Reds can find scoring form

Kenny Dalglish has stated his belief that his Liverpool players will start to score more goals, liverpoolfc.tv reports.

Dalglish saw his side miss a raft of chances, but still come up with a win against QPR on Saturday. The Reds have rued missed chances a lot this season and at Anfield, these missed chances have cost the club vital points in their pursuit of the Champions League places. Dalglish was delighted with the performance from his team and believes that the club are moving positively in the right direction.

The Reds boss said: ‘We did miss some chances, yes, but the goalkeeper saved a lot of them too. For us, it was a fantastic performance. We are quite happy. I trust the players implicitly when it comes to scoring. They continued to get in there on goal, and even with the ‘keeper having a good day, they didn’t drop their heads.’

The Liverpool boss believes that if they continue to create opportunities, they will give one team a thrashing. Liverpool’s next fixture comes away at Aston Villa next weekend and Dalglish will look to pick up another victory in pursuit of the top four. The Reds are 12 points behind the league leaders Chelsea, but only three of getting into the top four.
