Dalglish reveals no new injury worries ahead of QPR clash

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has revealed that he has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the Saturday’s Premier League clash against Queens Park Rangers, liverpoolfc.tv reports.

Dalglish reported a clean bill of health following the Monday night fixture against Fulham at Craven Cottage and the only concern is with midfielders Lucas Leiva and Steven Gerrard. Lucas and Gerrard are both out with long-term injuries as well as midfielder Jay Spearing suspended following his red card at Craven Cottage.

Gerrard is making good progress following his ankle infection, but will not be ready to face Neil Warnock’s side at Anfield on Saturday. The Reds will have Jonjo Shelvey back following his loan spell at Blackpool and Dalglish is happy that the midfielder has returned to ease his woes.

‘We know what Jonjo is all about and it was a good experience for him going to Blackpool. If we get everybody back fit and from suspension then it may be the case he goes back out again, but whilst he’s here we know what he can do and can make a contribution as he did last year in a lot of the games he came on in. We brought him back from Blackpool, where he had a couple of fantastic games’, Dalglish said.
