Daniel Lafferty, defender for Irish Premier Division side, Derry City, has joined Championship outfit, Brighton and Hove Albion on trial.
The 22 year old previously had a trial with Derby County, however his time at Pride Park had ended prematurely due to a hamstring injury.
The left-back will partake in the club’s training sessions this week, whilst he may also feature in Brighton’s forthcoming reserve game against Reading.

The player has had impressive year for Derry, which led to his inclusion in the Airtricity League side which faced Celtic in the summer, and may cost in the region of £250,000.
