Michael Dawson is set for a return to action early in January after several months out with an achilles injury, talkSPORT
Dawson, 28, injured his achilles tendon early in the season, and last made an appearance for Tottenham in their 5-1 home defeat at the hands of Manchester City on August 28. Initially, it had been hoped his injury was only minor; however, after complications and a consultation, he underwent surgery in order to try and rectify the problem. His return would see Harry Redknapp’s central defensive players with a clean bill of health, and would provide a welcome boost going into the second half of the season.
“Michael could be back in early January,” Redknapp explained. “He’s getting there, he’s back outside running now, and he is coming on well.”
