Redknapp is eager to sign new players to keep his side’s Champions League ambitions going and is ready to offload the two playmakers to make funds for signings. South African midfielder Pienaar has struggled to make an impact since his move from Everton at the start of the year. Redknapp is ready to either sell or arrange a loan move for Pienaar to any interested club.
Croatian playmaker Kranjcar will be offloaded in the same manner. Kranjcar had played in the Europa League for Spurs this season and stated that he was happy to stay and fight for his place. Redknapp does not think the midfielders fit into his plans and is ready to sell the pair for around £8m in the January transfer window.
Spurs are flying high in the table and have a marvellous wealth of attacking talent. Redknapp is reportedly keen in bring in a massive signing to shake up the title race in the Premier League. The Spurs boss said: ‘If we’re going to make a signing, let’s make one big signing. That would send out a message. But it’s difficult finding that player who would make a difference’.
