Porto striker Hulk is interested in linking up with former boss Andre Villas-Boas at Chelsea, according to the player’s agent, ESPN
The Brazilian striker has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge since Villas-Boas moved from Portugal to the Premier League. The Chelsea boss has looked to bring players from his former club, but has failed with offers for defender Alvaro Pereira and midfielder Joao Moutinho. Hulk has also been linked with Manchester City and Paris Saint Germain in recent months.
Chelsea are interested in adding to their attacking options with the 25 year old. Hulk’s contract at Porto runs out in 2016, so Chelsea will have to pay big money to secure the Brazilian. Nicolas Anelka leaves the club soon for Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua and with Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou travelling to the African Cup of Nations next month, Hulk could be an ideal signing. The Porto forward has a buyout clause of 100 million Euros, so the two sides will have to arrange a deal.
Hulk’s agent, Teodoro Fonseca, said: ‘Hulk at Chelsea? Anything is possible. But his buyout clause is 100 million Euros, so his future depends on an agreement between the two clubs. Hulk would wholeheartedly agree to work with Andre at Porto or Chelsea, or at any other team, because he really likes the way he coaches. Andre knows Hulk very well and they have a good relationship’.
