Italian giants Juventus are planning a bid for Chelsea defender David Luiz, as well as fellow centre back Alex. Daily
Manager Andre Villas-Boas has already said Alex may leave, but it is unclear whether he’d be willing to sell his fellow Brazilian. Luiz was signed from Benfica in January for £24m, but despite initially impressing at Stamford Bridge he has found it hard to recapture that form this season.
Villas-Boas wants a clear out at Chelsea so he is able to raise funds to bring in more players, with former player of his Joao Moutinho and Tottenham playmaker Luka Modric reportedly his top targets. With Drogba, Anelka and Alex all looking likely to leave, Juventus know Villas-Boas may have to sell Luiz in order to fund a January shopping spree.
