Niko Kranjcar will not demand to leave Tottenham in the January transfer window and wants to fight for his place at White Hart Lane, Press
The Croatian has been suffering from a thigh problem which has meant only three Premier League appearances so far this season. Kranjcar will find it difficult to get into the Spurs midfield lined with top-quality players. The Croatian favours left-wing, but with Welsh international Gareth Bale there, Kranjcar may face a fight to regain first-team football at White Hart Lane. Kranjcar has admitted he was annoyed to be out injured whilst the team were doing well, but is looking to get back as soon as possible.
The former Portsmouth man is ‘happy’ at Spurs and wants to fight for his slot. ‘I have always said I am happy to be part of the squad at Tottenham, because I think it is an unbelievable place. I would not really be interested if another club came in January. It is the most frustrating thing about being a footballer – being out when the team is playing well. But you try to stay calm and get back as soon as possible’, Kranjcar said.
