Kyle Walker getting interest from Real Madrid

Kyle Walker has been linked with a surprise move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, according to the Metro.

Manager Jose Mourinho is rumoured to be in the market for a right-back, and Walker’s performances at UEFA’s U21 Championship in the summer combined with those at Spurs this season have seen him propelled into a place in England’s senior squad. Walker also spent spells on loan at QPR and Aston Villa in the 2010-11 season, but this time around has supplanted Vedran Corluka as Tottenham’s first choice right-back.

Any deal for the 21-year-old would likely command a hefty fee, with Spurs chairmen Daniel Levy likely to demand at least £20 million. An agreement is made less likely by the fact that Croatian Vedran Corluka has underlined his desire to leave Tottenham to get regular first team football, which would leave Walker as the only recognised right-back in the squad.
