Lucas rejects talk of Man Utd move

Manchester United target Lucas has ruled himself out of a move to the Premier League, according to talkSPORT.

The midfielder is wanted by not only the Premier League champions, but close rivals Liverpool and Italian giants Inter Milan. Lucas currently plays his club level at Sao Paulo and the Brazilian side were preparing themselves for a bid in the summer. Lucas, who has been at the club six years, has revealed he has no intention of leaving just yet to the delight of Sao Paulo.

Lucas is rated at around £25m and is now a regular in both his club side and the Brazilian national setup. Sao Paulo could have been tempted to cash in on the midfielder in the January transfer window, but Lucas is focused on playing well for Sao Paulo at the moment.

The 19 year old said: ‘2011 has been a good year for me and I hope that 2012 is even better. For the New Year, I have some great objectives and they all go through Sao Paulo. I want to win a title and also have a great Olympics in London. After that, I will see, but I’m only interested in Sao Paulo’.
