Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has revealed he will return to his first club Independiente in Argentina when he turns 29, according to Ecos
The forward has enjoyed a fine start to his career in England, scoring 11 goals in 14 games so far, and has become a key player in the City side.
However, speaking to an Argentine radio station, he said he hopes to return to the club where he began as a professional, and wants to do so in 2017.
“I play in Europe but I’ve always said that I’d go back when I’m 29,” he explained. “I always wish Independiente the best of luck. It is hard to watch their matches on television but I try each week because it is my passion.”
Aguero left his native side in 2006 to join Atletico Madrid. He spent five years in Spain and enhanced his reputation as one of the world’s best attackers before joining City earlier this summer.
