Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini was pleased his side were able to return to winning ways after a 1-0 victory over Arsenal on Sunday, The
City had briefly lost their lead at the top of the Premier League table after a loss at Chelsea last Monday was followed by a Manchester United win over QPR.
However, David Silva tapped in from close range to ensure the three points for Mancini’s side against Arsenal, and the latter was happy to reclaim the number one spot.
“I am delighted for this because after Chelsea it was really important to beat Arsenal and go again to the top of the table, also because Arsenal are a really strong team at this moment,” said the Italian.
“We know [Manchester] United are a really strong team and we can’t think that we can win the title without fighting against United.”
