Modric was pursued by Chelsea in the summer, and the subject of a failed £40 million bid. Speaking to Sportske Novosti, the 26-year-old Croatian poured cold water on the January transfer speculation, but conceded that a move away is not out of the question.
“I would say with almost 100% certainty that I’ll be staying at Tottenham until the end of the season,” he said. “I would always say that, theoretically, there is a small chance I could leave, if the club receive a suitable offer and it’s one I wouldn’t want to turn down. So long as I am fit and playing well, I’m happy just to see what happens.”
