Manchester United winger Nani has insisted that they will win the Premier League and FA Cup double in order to make up for their Champions League and League Cup exit.
Last season’s Premier League champions and Champions League runners-up were eliminated from the League Cup by Crystal Palace just over a week before Basel knocked them out of the Champions League.
Nani admitted it has been a tough period for his side but he believes they can make up for their failures by defending their title and lifting the FA Cup this season.
He told The Sun: “It has been tough. It is so disappointing to be out of the Champions League after the group stages.
“But we are still alive this season and must now do our best to win the two domestic competitions we are still in.”
