Norwich boss Lambert in awe of ‘frightening’ Man City

Norwich manager Paul Lambert described Manchester City as ‘frightening’ after seeing his team swept aside by the Premier League leaders, The Sun reports.

The Canaries were powerless to resist as Roberto Mancini’s side cruised to a 5-1 win and took their league scoring total to an incredible 48 goals in just 14 games.

City are currently five points clear of local rivals Manchester United at the top of the table, and are unbeaten so far, having won 12 of their league fixtures so far.

“It’s a frightening squad he’s got here,” admitted Lambert. “You have to hold your hands up and say we were beaten by the better side.

“They’re a great side, their movement is absolutely top class. They deserved to win, there’s no getting away from that. But maybe five was a bit harsh.”
