Park eager for first-team Arsenal place

Park Chu-Young has insisted that he is ready to take his chance at Arsenal following his summer move from Monaco, arsenal.com reports.

The South Korea captain has seen limited action for the Gunners since his move, but with strikers Marouane Chamakh and Gervinho leaving for the African Cup of Nations next month, Park should get more opportunities. Park already has one goal to his name in an Arsenal shirt and is looking to score more and more when he gets more chances. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has dismissed talk of a move for Cologne striker Lukas Podolski, which indicates faith in the South Korean international.

Park said: ‘All my team mates are great players. I do not expect a chance for me, because a player is unavailable. I will do my best to prepare myself to take any random chances at any time.

‘I am new to this club and to the Premier League. I am trying hard to learn more and more. I don’t worry about getting used to everything or anything. My team-mates are nice to me and I do not have any problems at all regarding training’, Park added.
