Parker hails Tottenham as best team he has played in

Scott Parker has praised the current Tottenham side and believes it is the best squad he has ever played with, The Daily Telegraph reports.

Parker has cemented his place in the starting line-up at White Hart Lane thanks to some sterling performances in midfield. The England international provides the perfect anchor for the free-flowing Spurs side and Parker is more than happy to do whatever he has to do for the team. Spurs take on Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday and Parker should start once more.

The former Chelsea, Newcastle and West Ham midfielder has had plenty of top-flight experience, but feels that his time at White Hart Lane will be the most enjoyable. Parker praised the talents of Gareth Bale and Emmanuel Adebayor, as well as acknowledging the way Harry Redknapp works as a man-manager.

‘I am more than happy to do whatever I can to help the team win. If that means me and the two centre-halves trying to defend, while the two full-backs attack, it might not be ideal, but we do what we have to do. It’s probably the best team I’ve played in. Look at Gareth [Bale]. He has exceptional ability. He can carry the ball 60 yards up the field. Kyle Walker and Benoit Assou-Ekotto are unbelievable. I wouldn’t even class them as full-backs. I class them as wingers/defenders’, Parker said.
