Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is confident that midfielder Luka Modric will remain a Spurs player by the end of the January transfer window, Reuters reports.
Modric is the subject of interest from Chelsea and the Blues are preparing a fourth bid for the Croatian. Chelsea had three bids rejected in the summer and are desperate to sign Modric in January. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy had stated that the 26 year old would be going nowhere in the summer or the future and Modric is expected to discuss a new deal with Spurs to commit him for life.
Redknapp is eager to hold on to Modric and believes that the current form of Spurs, coupled with their impressive plans for the future, will convince the Croatian to stay. The Spurs boss believes the Blues deal is over and Modric is not for sale at any price, if Chelsea return with a bid.
