Harry Redknapp has reiterated Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy’s assertion that midfield duo Gareth Bale and Luka Modric are not for sale in the January transfer window, reports Sky
Modric drew interest from Chelsea in the summer, and was the subject of a rejected bid worth around £40 million. There has been speculation that Chelsea may renew their interest in January, and Manchester United have also been linked. Bale, meanwhile, is said to be admired by Spanish duo Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Speaking at the Spurs AGM earlier in the week, Levy stressed neither player would be sold in January, and Redknapp sounded his accord, saying, “No way on earth will they be for sale – not a chance. I don’t think the chairman would accept any offer.”
