Harry Redknapp is to renew his attempts to bring Gary Cahill to White Hart Lane in January, according to the Daily
Bolton centre-back Cahill, 25, was targeted by Tottenham in August, but narrowly missed out on a deadline day deal due to the two clubs being unable to agree a fee. However, with Cahill’s contract expiring at the end of the season, Coyle has recently admitted Bolton are looking to cash in on the England international, and he could be available for less than £10 million.
Chelsea have recently also been heavily linked with Cahill, but Redknapp is hopeful that Spurs’ surge up the table, combined with Chelsea’s recent poor form, will see Tottenham become Cahill’s favoured club. Spurs could also offer Sebastian Bassong to Bolton as a deal-sweetener.
