Sandro confident of beating Chelsea and mounting title challenge

Sandro has stated his belief that victory over a Chelsea on Thursday could give Spurs the confidence to mount a genuine Premier League title challenge, according to Goal.com.

The challenge hit a bump in the road with last weekend’s unfortunate 2-1 defeat at Stoke, but it was put back on track yesterday with a 1-0 victory over Sunderland, despite the absence of Gareth Bale and Jermain Defoe, and a first half injury to Aaron Lennon.

Speaking after the win, Sandro said, “Chelsea will be a difficult game, but being at home will be good for us, because our supporters are very good and will be helping us. I think if we win this game our confidence will go up and up.

“Yes,”, he responded when asked if he thought Spurs could win the title, “Why not? All our players are very good, we have a strong team and a very good bench, so why not?”
