Tottenham have joined in the race to sign AZ Alkmaar’s Swedish midfielder Rasmus Elm, reports the Daily
Elm, 23, has also drawn interest from fellow Premier League clubs Manchester United and Arsenal, but Spurs are looking to beat them to the Swedish international’s signing by matching Alkmaar’s valuation of £6m. Some reports have suggested that Tottenham may even have already agreed a fee with Alkmaar, and that Elm will arrive at White Hart Lane at the start of January.
Elm, 23, has made 58 appearances for Alkmaar since 2009, scoring 13 goals in the process. Former Swedish national team coach, Lars Lagerback, has said that Elm is the biggest talent that Sweden has produced since Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
