Villas-Boas has come under scrutiny at Stamford Bridge for his side’s performances, but feels that now United and City face challenges from the teams below them.
Villas-Boas said: ‘The fact that United are now only two points behind City changes the perspective on how the Premier League looks. I would say this – nothing will be decided in December and January. But now there is a stressful situation between the Manchester clubs and that gives us, the people chasing, the chance to shorten the distance if we do well’.
