Walker plans Tottenham stay despite big interest

Kyle Walker insists he has no reason to leave Tottenham and plans to stay despite interest from Europe, The Sunday Mirror reports.

The England international has been linked with AC Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid in recent weeks. Walker signed a contract extension last July, which runs his deal until 2016, and the defender has revealed his intention to see out that contract. Spurs have been scintillating so far this season and Walker’s form has earned him an England cap, as well as acclaim from a host of media circles that he should be England’s right back for years to come.

Walker said: ‘It’s flattering to be linked with some big clubs, but, as far as I’m concerned, I’m playing for a very big club and I can fulfil my dreams at Spurs. Why would I even consider leaving? It’s not even open to debate. I owe a debt of gratitiude to the club and the manager, Harry Redknapp, and I couldn’t be happier and more grateful.’
