Yeats praises Jose Enrique as best Liverpool performer of the season

Liverpool legend Ron Yeats has spoken of his admiration for Reds left back Jose Enrique after his signing this summer, reports.

The Spaniard has settled into life on Merseyside fantastically and already has 14 Liverpool appearances. Many have claimed that he is one of the signings of the summer and Yeats has backed that thought, describing Enrique as a ‘revelation’. Yeats was Liverpool’s first FA Cup winning captain and believes that Enrique’s all-around game is what makes him stand out.

Yeats said: ‘I think he’s a relevation, he’s done well. He likes to attack, he’s a good defender and he can head the ball, so let’s hope he continues to do well in the coming seasons. I think everybody’s doing well, but alongside (Luis) Suarez, he’s been our best performer this season’.

Enrique is expected to start against Fulham, which sees Reds fans reunited once again with former left back John Arne Riise. The Norwegian was a firm fans favourite for most of his time at Anfield and Enrique will be hoping he can enjoy the same success Riise did.
