Ferguson believes the greatest Premier League players are from Manchester United

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson insists that with the success his club have had in the Premier League era, the greatest stars from the league have to be United players.

Old Trafford has seen the likes of Eric Cantona, David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Roy Keane and Peter Schmeichel to name a few in the Premier League. All have been managed under the watchful eye of the Scotsman and Ferguson believes that United have had the best Premier League players. During his time at Old Trafford, Ferguson has won 12 titles in the Premier League and has seen his fair share of greats in not only the United line-up, but the Premier League in general.

Ferguson said: ‘No club has created the success that we have in the Premier League, so they’d have to have come from United with question’.

United take on Bolton this Saturday looking to get back on track after two successive Premier League defeats against Blackburn and Newcastle. A big win in the FA Cup against local rivals Manchester City will have given Ferguson’s side confidence of winning a 13th Premier League title and a 20th league title in the club’s history.
