Chelsea defender Alex is wanted by three teams as the January transfer window begins to heat up, according to The
Serie A side Juventus are interested in the Brazilian defender and have contacted the Blues over a move for Alex. The 29 year old was placed on the transfer list by Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas after requesting a move and has been frozen out of first team affairs. The Blues are making good progress in their negotiations with Bolton defender Gary Cahill, which allows Alex to make the move.
Alex himself is interested in a move to Brazilian side Santos, a club where the Brazilian defender began his career back in 2001. Santos are struggling to pay the 29 year old’s wages and Alex may have to take a paycut to join his former side.
QPR are the third interested party, which may be ideal for Alex as he would not have to move house in West London. Chelsea want only £2m and the opportunity for the Brazilian to stay in the Premier League is something he could favour. Alex’s representatives are expected to meet with QPR chiefs this week to see what deal Rangers are offering. The Brazilian has been with the Blues for four full seasons, but has seen his opportunities dwindle with the arrival of compatriot David Luiz.
