Kaboul confident in Spurs title challenge

Younes Kaboul believes that Tottenham are in a good position to sustain a challenge for the Premier League title this season, The Guardian reports.

Kaboul played in the 1-0 home win over West Brom on Tuesday night and helped to maintain the team’s impressive league form. Spurs currently sit third in the Premier League table and get a week break from the league to face Cheltenham Town in the FA Cup this weekend. Kaboul is delighted with the resolve running throughout the squad and the improved mentality to grind out results.

The Algerian is confident that whoever comes into the side can perform to a great ability in this season’s race for the Champions League. Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is aiming for a more realistic target of the top four and Kaboul has echoed the sentiments of his manager, whilst also stating that they can achieve big things this season.

Kaboul said: ‘The West Brom game was not best game ever, but in those games, you just have to win, take the three points and look forward to the next one. It is only in this way that we will achieve something at the end of the season. We have taken more confidence. We are a massive team in England now, so we have to assume that and play as well as we can every week’.
