Liverpool winger extends Bury loan

Liverpool winger David Amoo has extended his loan spell at League One side Bury until the end of the season, liverpoolfc.tv confirms.

Amoo has proved to be a big favourite at Gigg Lane, netting twice so far for the Shakers. The winger originally signed for Bury in September and the extension guarantees Amoo regular football for the rest of the campaign. Amoo has made 10 appearances for Bury and will stay as the League One club push for promotion to the Championship.

The Reds signed Amoo from Millwall in 2007, but the 20 year old has made just one first-team appearance. Liverpool believe that Amoo will benefit from the loan move as it will allow him to play competitive first-team football instead of playing in the reserves.

Another Liverpool loanee, midfielder Joe Cole, is interested in staying with French champions Lille. The former England international is enjoying his time with LOSC and has spoken with Lille president Michel Seydoux over making the deal permanent.
