Harry Redknapp has played down the possibility of Tottenham making any signings before the close of the January transfer window, reports ESPN.
Thus far, the North London club’s only transfer activity this month has been the signing of Iago Falque on a permanent deal from Juventus, before loaning him out to Southampton. They have been linked with a move for want-away Blackburn defender Chris Samba, as well as several others, but no deals have yet come to fruition.
Asked about any possible further deals after the FA Cup win at Watford, Redknapp said: “It’s difficult, I doubt if we’ll do anything really now. It’ll be hard to do anything. I haven’t been chasing the chairman, we haven’t been desperate. The chairman’s not been pushing me to do anything. There’s a couple of players that we like but you’re not going to get them in at this stage.”
