Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed the club are interested in signing Marseille striker Loic Remy, Sky
Redknapp has been a fan of Remy since the player was at Nice, who he represented before joining his current club in 2010.
“He is a good player,” said the Spurs manager. “We could have had him a couple of years ago, to be honest with you. He has pushed on. He was a player we looked at and I watched him a couple of times at that stage, but he went to Marseille. There is interest there. But that is as far as it goes. At the moment, there is nothing more than that.”
Marseille are thought to value Remy at around £20 million, although there has also been talk of a potential swap deal involving Russian forward Roman Pavlyuchenko.
