The 22 year old shone in midweek against Everton at White Hart Lane and could retain his place for the visit of Wolves on Saturday. Livermore has flirted with the first team for a while and has now showed his capabilities in the Europa League with Spurs, performances that have won plaudits from his manager. Redknapp believes that Livermore’s attitude will help him go a long way and is delighted that he has silenced the doubters who said he wouldn’t make it at White Hart Lane.
Redknapp said: ‘You couldn’t get a better lad than Jake. He’s a fantastic boy with a great attitude and he’s a really good player. If you had a club full of people like that, you’d have a great club. Livermore himself is overjoyed with the way things have been going and believes that if he is in and around the squad regularly, he is happy to come in and just perform when needed. The 22 year old said: ‘It’s difficult for me, but it’s what happens when you are at a top four club. As long as I’m in and around it and when called upon, I can come in and do a job.
