Redknapp insists fringe players have a chance

Redknapp has given Tottenham’s fringe players a ray of hope by insisting that it is possible for them to break into the first team in the second half of the season, reports The Daily Mail.

Players such as Stephen Pienaar, Niko Kranjcar and Roman Pavlyuchenko have struggled to get playing time in the Premier League this season due to Tottenham’s impressive march up the table. Pienaar has been linked with a move back to Everton, or to Aston Villa, whilst Kranjcar recently committed himself to Spurs for at least the remainder of the season.

“Players like Pienaar and Kranjcar are good players and they can get in the team,” said Redknapp. “With Pienaar the problem has been his injuries – he has never really got up and running, and it has been a difficult year for him.”
